Campy Cassette Compatiblity Question

I am looking at a set of Mavic Open Pro rims with Record hubs and a Campy 10 speed casstte. All the items are 2004 vintage. My question is whether or not that 10-speed cassette can be swapped out for a Campy 9-speed cassette? Would that 9-speed cassette fit properly on the 10-speed hub? Thanks for any info!

Yes. In fact, I have one such setup right now.
