What's up with these cable guides?
Picked up this bare Specialized Sequoia frame a while back and am building it up for a friend. 2001 model I think. I went to route the rear brake cable, and the cable guides aren't "stops" - they are one size all the way through and the cable housing slides right through. Am I missing an insert or something? Never seen this on a post-80s bike. I could run a complete housing all the way to the brake, but even then it's not really a tight fit, and might move around a bit. Ideas?

There are housing caps with a flared rim that would work, you could probably get some for a pittance at the lbs.
