Merry Christmas LBS

I took my bike in for service on Saturday, and they did a lot of work for me and discounted some of the parts and labor for me. I try and do this right before Christmas, to give them a little business before Christmas, and to also drop off some 12 oz. presents. This year has been a very poor year for me, but here is what they received from me yesterday.

That is a very nice gesture. They are a business and therefore you only owe them the money that is due. But there are also people who work at that business, and if you are friendly with them, then why not treat them like friends?

There is an Amish bike shop around here that is my go-to bike shop whenever I need help. They always, always take their time helping me. The have cut me some extraordinary deals. But more than that, they have made me feel welcome to use them as a resource to learn from them. I drop my share of money there, but I also have brought them something around this time of year to express my thanks for the patience and time they have generously given me too.

This is the only LBS that treated me decent in the Omaha/Council Bluffs area, so they are definitely worth the case of Fat Tire. At least to me they are.

That's cool, but if I did the same, I think it would be kinda weird, seeing as how Fat Tire is brewed in town...

Then buy them some Ale from The Olde Main Brewery in Ames, IA. That is just as good, if not better depending upon the beer.
