Handlebar alignment

I noticed that the handlebar seems slightly out of alignment. That is, its not exactly at right angles to the front tire. Is there a method to get a more exact alignment? This is a road bike with carbon everything except the stem.

You mean it's not quite pointed the same direction as the front wheel?

I always just sight down the end of the stem to the front wheel. Close one eye and get the front hub visually centered around the tire by moving your head around a bit. Once your head is in that line of sight, your stem should be visually centered over the tire.

I use a metal yard stick and lay it edge-on so it exactly bisects the stem bolt and the handlebar clamp and extends out over the front wheel. Straddle the bike and the extended yardstick should exactly bisect the front tire.
