Bay area, California, Bicycle mechanic class?

I would love to take a class in this and improve on my bicycle "know how". Anyone from the bay can help me out with this? I have some time for some extra units and don't really mind where it is, as long as it stays within the bay. I know online stuff is great.....but it still donset give me the right of mind. 1st person learning is the best for that. Im sure most of you can agree on it.
I have a high end MTB build, but not confident to built it my self because of the expensive parts and such. But would love to know what the heck is going on with it in the event i need to do some work on it. Thanks!!

I'd suggest calling/stopping by your local shops and asking if they know of such. Where I live, one of the shops donates space/tools for just this purpose. The staff consisting of bike-mechanics from all around the area. Costs are kept as low as possible - but enough to pay overhead, transportation, and a few groceries or an electric bill.

Happy Trails!

It seems to me that I saw basic bike wrenching listed in the catalog of adult classes offered by the Richmond School District. I'll ask my wife when she wakes up. She works there.

She said that the class has been cancelled. She doesn't know why because there was pleanty of interest. It was held at the Alvarado campus in El Cerrito, where she works.

San Francisco's Bike Kitchen. https://www.bikekitchen.org/programs.htm There are regular tune-up classes and wheelbuilding classes, or you can just ask and be taught.

Box Dog Bikes, also in SF, also has classes.
