100x145? What bike is this for? Neither dimension is common.

Sounds like a Pugsley, 100 mm bb shell and a recommendation of 145 of axle.
I've used FSA Platinum DH ISIS bottom brackets on Pugsleys. They are not exactly light weight, but they sure are sturdy.

yes tom teesdale is building me a snow bike and we need to use 100 mm bb to solve chain issues.I have many square taper cranks,so it would be nice to be able to use them as I have heard the isis wears fast.

The widest square taper bb's I've seen are Shimano's 127.5 and an Edco 130 but both use a 68 mm bb shell. Try contacting Surly and see what they use. for the Pugsley

From how many reliable sources? An ISIS spindle alone in a bottom bracket will not lead to short bottom bracket life. It will all depend on the quality of the bearings used. If a specific ISIS bottom bracket is known to have issues, then avoid that BB. There are plenty of ISIS BB's available so I'm sure you can find something that will work well.

Apparently there were enough low quality, short-lived ISIS bottom brackets made that the entire concept got a bad reputation for reliability. The fact that the ISIS design was made public domain meant that everybody and anybody could make one. Some were a lot better than others.
That said, I wonder how many bottom brackets of any make or type will fit the Pugsley-style bb shell. Your choices may be very limited.

Now that Surly has their external bearing crank (called Mr. Whirly) out, they will recommend that for Pugsleys, as Mr. Whirly comes in all sorts of axle lengths, including 100 mm.
I thought Phil Wood had a square taper bb for 100 mm shells, but I can't find it in their catalogue. It would've been pretty expensive anyway.
There really aren't all that many choices. I wouldn't be concerned about bearing life if you use a downhill-specced component (like the FSA Platinum DH I originally suggested) for flatland riding.
