No front derailleur trim required for 2009 DA -what about 2009 Ultegra SL?
As I read the new manual 2009 (double chainring) 7900 Dura ace front derailleur shifter doesn't have/doesn’t need a trim position* - which I consider a big advantage - particularly for racing. Does this also apply to the 2009 Ultegra SL front shifter? Unfortunately, I could not find a direct Shimano statement about this.
Thanks

7900 Dura Ace is the only Shimano FD that does use trim in its operation. Ultegra will be updated later this year and that change may be introduced to it.
