need help to find a RSX hub part

I was repacking the bearings on my sons wheelset, and I damaged the non drive side dust cover on a Shimano RSX 7 speed hub..
trying to undent the dust cap was to no avail, if anything I made it worse,to where I could feel it slowing the rotation of the wheel down when spun...
where in the world can I get a replacement, I have it open now, but with the sand here in Florida, it isn't a real good idea..

Do you have a pic of the part you are referring to or can you describe it better? I think you're referring to the thin sheet-metal cover that typically bends upon removal. If so, I'd like to find out where to buy them myself.

I've been able to straighten these thin metal covers using a light hammer and a plastic rod as a punch working on a flat surface. Be particularly careful around the axle hole and you may have to file away a small amount to get clearance.

In the future, they can be removed with minimal distortion by using a wide flat blade screwdriver and inserting it far enough to pry on the outer edge.

I'll start asking at the local Bike shops, do you know if they are compatible with any other shimano component level hub?
