Shimano 105 Front Derailleur Capacity

Looking to change the small chainring on my wife's FSA Gossamer triple cranket. Current setup is 50-39-30 and she is looking to change the 30 to either a 26 or 24. It looks like the FD will handle the 26 and possibly the 24. Can anyone confirm? Previous thread convinced me to keep the RD at 12-27 (10 speed) and the granny chainring would only be used for really steep stretches. If the Shimano 105 FD doesn't have the capacity can anyone recommend a FD of equivalent quality?

The fd will handle it. Shifting from the granny to the middle ring won't be as fast as with the 30T but it will be ok. I recommend a chain watcher for this set up.

HillRider,
Thanks. I had ordered a chainwatcher at the same time. Going to fit a 24t to my wife's bike and thinking about 26t for mine. I'm trying to avoid the small ring completely, but when I need it I really need it. We're both in our 60's so killing ourselves getting up 10-12% grades doesn't seem wise.
