Removing Giant OCR fork races

Hey guys. I'm trying to replace the crown race on a Giant OCR's carbon fork but can't figure out a way to get a hold of it. I have a new headset that I'm trying to install, but the original race that came on the fork seems to be semi-permanently attached. There is no way to get at it with a lever to lever it off and the only way I could see removing it is by cutting it off and sliding the new one over the steerer tube.

Try to find a shop with a race remover. Our shop has one(park), and it's pretty slick for a huge, expensive device that only performs one small task.

This crown race sits flush against the top of the fork crown without any gaps, holes, or notches to grab on. We've used crown race removers but they don't seem like they would work. Would this https://www.parktool.com/products/det...51&item=CRP-1# work for an otherwise inaccessible crown race?

If the park puller won't work, I don't think any non-destructive method will.

The Park crown race remover is basically a modified "bearing splitter" that forces very thin wedges between the crown race and the forks' race seat and pries the crown race up from the sides. It works when there is no edge of the crown race overlapping the seat so a typical remover is useless.
