Easiest Upgrade Path from 7 Speed Accushift

I have a 87 cross bike with a 7 speed Sun Tour Accushift index drivetrain w/ triple front crank and bar end shifters. Could I just switch out derilleurs or would I have to change shifters too? I would like to upgrade to 105 or better Shimano or Campy. What would be the least painful path? Specifically what components would you recommend?

The Suntour Freewheel uses 2 different spaings on the same FW.
