    Tange Bottom Bracket

Just purchased a Tange square taper cartridge bottom bracket. I've only installed the Shimano with the plastic non-drive side cup. The Tange comes with a metal non-drive side cup on the cartridge and I can't seem to get it off for installation. It rotates, but when I pull on it, it doesn't budge. Am I just a weenie or is there something I don't understand about removing the cup on this bottom bracket?
    Help!

Let it hang, by the cup, inside a vise and tap the spindle delicately with a hammer?

Its just tight on there. It should press off with a little bit of force applied.

Success! Shot a little Biosheild down the cup, threaded it backwards into the left side of the bottom bracket (non-drive side spindle was inside the bracket). Put a nice thick quilt under it and stuck the wooden handle of a screwdriver inside against the spindle and gave a tap, the cartridge dropped out. When I threaded it in I could see it was a little crooked so it must have been wedged on there. Thanks for all your help, a little bit of everything worked.

    And yes. Go Hawks!
