Need mtn bike clipless advise
I've had to give up on clipless-learning curve is too high on bad downhill falls,but I want to try again.I need to find pedals that can be adjusted to the absolute easiest release:a loud scream. Not to be clipped in at all for downhills [platform on one side?] seems like it would be best for me..need advise.

I have found the Crank Bothers pedals very easy to clip in and out. the basic eggbeater model is the easiest, but there are models with a platform.
I would stay away from the Smarty model- not rebuildable. The Candy looks like a good option for a small platform but still easy to use. Mallet has a larger platform, but I find it the hardest of the line to release in my thickest soled mtn. bike shoes.

Shimano's PDM324 pedals are platform on one side and an SPD clip on the other. You can back off the tension screw on the SPD side to give very easy release if you wish.

I use shimano m520's
there isn't a platform, but you can set the tension very, very low.
I find standing on plats with biker shoes on really difficult. I keep slipping off. Perhaps it's my shoes, perhaps it's the pedals.
