Is it just me or does the picture look weird. Like maybe the rim is bent or something. I know the picture is on an angle, but still looks weird.

Have no idea about the quality of the tire though, sorry.

Avenir is an o.k company with me, popular upgrade company in the 90's.
Still use their seatposts sometimes.
They probably don't MAKE the tire, just market. Can't tell you much about the Kevlar wall as mine (mtb, diff company) are only a month old- though the are stiffer? nicer than other thin wall mtb tires I've tried.

$30-? Ya.

Looks like may be company IRC. Replacing Discovery Kevlar CyclePro 700x25. ?

No Continental Gatorskins, which I do not like. I was sold on them being bullet proof but the first 2 rides I did with them last summer I got flats (2 on both rides) so the Mr Tuffies went back in. Didn't get a flat again until yesterday I went over something very share bite a nice hole in the tire. I am looking at Armadillos but none of the shops in my area have any in stock(in my size). Since it is REI and they are cheap I might p/u a pair just to try them out

No, the Av tire replaces the Cyclepro for suppliers. ( @ least that seemed to be the point of a prsons web posting)

fun fact: there are no companies in the united states that manufacture bicycle tires.

or, to put it correctly, there are no bicycle tires manufactured in the united states.
