Assymetrical Rim...duh.
I laced a 10S Shimano hub to a Velocity Assymetrical (offset) rim today. It has occured to me, now looking at this thing, that the 4mm offset (thin side) probably needs to be on the non-freehub side rather than the freehub side that I laced it on. Is this correct?? I'd post pictures, but they are ugly.

If you mean that the spoke bed should be closer to the non-drive side, you are correct. Out of curiosity, what was the tension differential between the DS and the NDS?

I have already dissassembled it. The spokes calculated to be within 1mm of each other, but wound up being about 7mm different when properly dished. I never even bothered with final tensioning.
We'll try again tomorrow night.

Good move. This could have been a Sheldon Brown joke page. Ultimate deep dish wheels!
