Tektro R536
I'm new to bikes, and have Tektro R536 calipers on the front and rear. These calipers have a small lever where the cable connects, that will move the pads away from the rim or move it closer. depending on where it is moved to. What is the purpose of this lever, and how do I use it properly. Thanks in advance, John

makes it easier to remove the wheels w/o having to re-adjust your calipers every time

It is a quick release. Keep it all the way closed for riding. If your wheel goes out of true during a ride you can open it all the way up so the wheel will still fit, but don't ride it like that long term.
