Brooks Swift Ti. What seat post will fit?
I am having trouble finding a seat post that will fit a Brooks Swift Ti saddle. Does any one have some suggestions? Greatly appreciated. It needs to be a 27.2. Preferably black and under $80

I've only once had a Brooks that didn't clamp right on to a standard seatpost. I have a Swift Ti on my Colnago using a vintage Chorus aero seatpost - perfect fit right out of the box. Also, all of my Team Pros, same perfect fit. I did have to tweak a B17 once by squeezing the rails together a smidge using a big set of Channel Locks (with padded jaws). Are the rails too narrow or too wide or is something else interfering with the fit?

I can't imagine how one would go about finding a post that *didn't'* fit.
I have used a Brooks Swift Ti on about 6 different standard posts with no issue.

Thanks for the responses, I apriciate it. The rails are too narrow ( close togather) for a Thomson Elite and a specialed seat post I have. I was suprized that the thomson didn't fit. The mounting is to wide. I am having trouble finding a seat post that lists the measurment of the clamps. I'm not much of an expert past the basics thats why I am asking if anyone has any suggestions. Also the rails are TI and I didn't know if it was a good idea to try and make them fit.

Rail spacing is supposed to all be the same; That is why mfgrs don't need to specify it.
I've been running a Swift Ti on a Thomson Elite for 6 months.

If you can't spread the rails to get it to fit, then take it back for a refund based on a mfgr'ing defect.

It'll work. I've got a Swift Ti and a Thompson seatpost. You'll probably have to manhandle the rails apart a bit (I did) but once you get it into the clamp you'll be good-to-go.

Yep - I had to do a little bit of spreading to bet my Brooks on my no-name post. The other thing that's a factor for some is how little aft movement the Brooks rails allow. A setback post is sometimes handy.
