Anybody have examples of a homemade tube clamp? (like repair stand head)

I am looking at bike transport options for my Frontier.

First choice would be a tube clamp that would secure the seat tube or top tube.

Second choice would be a receiver hitch rack and I have plenty of tubing and the tools to make one but I use the back of the truck a lot.

Third choice would be a fork mount but I don't want to remove the wheel but the easiest option.

Any help on a tube clamp would be appreciated!

TIA......Fatn40
