Outboard bearing cranks won't stay on @ recomened torque
I picked up a set of bontrager two piece cranks at a swap a few months ago. I know how important proper torque is on this style of cranks, so I'm using a torque wrench to ensure proper fitment. At 500 in/lbs , the left arm comes loose rapidly. I'm guessing the previous owner overtightened the cranks and did some damage. Soooooo, my big question is do I replace the bb cups? Or is the problem with the left arm itself?
