Bike mechanic schools

Can any of you bike mechanics tell me some "pros & cons" of the Barnett school and UBI?

Ashland, Oregon is a nice, laid-back town in the mountains about 10 miles from the northern Californian border. And UBI instructors are excellent - knowing how to mix explanation and hand's-on. Ashland also has nice places to eat and places to ride. I had a great time during my 2-week "working vacation." Came away with knowing how to build wheels and how to build and tune a bike from the frame up. As well as how to run a shop as a business, lines of supply - all that good stuff.

I went there in, I think, it's second year - 1984. I'm glad to see they made it.

UBI just announced they're opening a branch in Portland (Oregon, not Maine).
