    Mountain Disk Brifters?

Hi, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section. Since disk isn't allowed in cyclocross, I figured this was the best area. Mods, please move if I'm wrong. Also, if this has already been answered, please direct me, as I did a brief search, on bikeforms and on google in general, and failed to find what I was looking for. Disclaimers out of the way....

Since my current bike isn't ugly enough, I've recently fallen in love with the Salsa Fargo, and would love to build one out for my current commuting/pleasure-riding/bit-o-dirt schedule. I currently have and LOVE brifters, but I'm new to the whole disk brake thing. Apparently there are different disk brakes for mountain and road, with different leavers.

Do any mountain disk brakes come with brifters?

    Thanks

Avid makes two versions of their mechanical BB7 disc brake calipers. The "Road" version is intended for normal road brake levers or brifters. The MTB version is intended for V brake levers. I do not know if any other mechanical disc brake manufacturers offer similar options.

No one I am aware of makes hydraulic disc brakes for drop bar brake levers or brifters.

there are road disk brakes, avid BB7 road which will actuate properly to road cable pull ratio.

there are also problem solvers travel agents, which will change the cable travel so you can use road levers with MTB disk brakes.
Food for thought: if you aren't dead by 2050, you and your entire family will be within a few years from starvation. Now that is a cruel gift to leave for your offspring. ;)
