Fixate coaster hub sprocket?

Yes, I've been looking all over for advice on how to do this.
I have an old bicycle from the 40's with a coaster hub (foot brake). Today I crashed it and broke the brake mechanism. I therefore want to fixate the sprocket to the rest of the wheel so that I can use the bike again without brakes, like a fixed gear bicycle.

Any tips on how to do this? I don't know how to weld.
