how to setup rear BMX brake

Just got a second hand GT Dyno- it has the rear brake caliper and u-brake, but no cable. How do i setup this up? Ive never hooked up a brake before (ona bike anyway). thanks for any info, parts, steps etc...

all you need to do is loosen the allen key bolt on either side of the U brake slowly and your see the nut below turn, get a spanner on that and turn it the other way then tighten up the allen key bolt again. what you've just done is tighten the spring on one side, so, one side of the brake should be over a little more than the other. all you have to do is now repeat on the other side [the crank side can be a pain without a bike stand] to get the distance the same.
then the staddle cable goes from the crank side around the seat tube then down again to the other side, that cable now fits on to your giro cable
