Campy 09 brifters installation???

Campy 09 brifters installation???
Okay, thanks to this forum I've been able to find some great deals on the components I needed and steer clear of some that have proven to be less than desireable. thanks for that.
but on to the next phase... building up the bike. I've hit my first snag, and its kind of a dumb one. But I wanted to see if anyone else had problems installing their campy ergo levers? I have the veloce 09 brifters. Well, the clamp set up on the brifter has a hex nut you use to clamp down on the bar. Well I have found this to be very hard to get any tool I have (an all in one and a park tool tri hex) to get in there at that angle and be able to tighten it. I have the hoods up as far as I can get them, without fearing a rip or something. But I can only get the wrench in there at an angle which I end up grinding the hex nut and leaving shavings. I just can't get the angle needed to work this. Also, I'm using a 3mm hex, but the parts list I found on line says that nut is a 5mm allen, and there is no way I can fit my 5mm in there.
Are there any tips? Anyone else find this same issue?

My 09 Centaur brifters use a Torx 25 wrench on the clamping bolt. The Torx head puts more surface area on the bolt/wrench interface, making it less likely to strip at the difficult angle.

5mm hex is the old standard.

this would make sense. But I couldn't even really get a good look due to not being able to look right in there. thanks, this should be straightforward from here then. thanks again guys.
