Cannondale Headshok Stem - longer than 140mm?

Hi there

I just bought a new Cannondale Bad Boy Ultra as a commuting bike. Very happy with the bike so far but I find the riding position very different to my previous bike. I am fairly tall (6 '4") and find the bike/stem combination a little short. I am therefore looking for a longer Headshok stem (mine is 130mm, 20 degree). The longest one I could find on the web so far is 140mm, either 5 or 20 degree.

Do you guys know of any longer Cannondale headshok stems and if yes, where I could order them (I am based in the UK, so ideally a shop over here)?

Other question: Are all headshok stems the same in terms of diameter etc or do I need to be careful to buy one that fits MY headshok?

Cheers

Lars

Profile Design used to make their Stiffy stem in a 1.5" version as long as 150mm, but that was many years ago.
Longest current one I'm aware of is Syncros' AM stem at 110mm.

Thanks, yeah, it seems there is nothing longer around...I might have a go at the 140mm version, see if it makes a difference...

If your handlebars are swept back, you could also look for straighter bars to lengthen your reach. Also check your saddle setback. If you previously used a setback post and the new post has no offset, the reach will feel cramped.
