question about pedal arm

I have a trek 7300 . The leftside pedal arm screw(?) comes loose and I have to keep putting it back on.I dont know what the part is actually called so I will try to explain my problem. It is the arm with the pedal attatched to it. The screw that holds it to the bike keeps backing out and now the square hole has rounded out a little. the arm has bontrager etched into it.Will I need to have it replaced or can I continue to ride it safely. It doesnt show any wobble when I tighten it . Help an old man out, Thanks

Yeah, you need to get a replacement crankarm. Once that square hole starts to round out it will never stay attached. If you're not overly particular about having an exact match they aren't too expensive.

Whatever your local bike shop is able to sell you ought to suffice. Left arms should be available separately at any decently stocked shop.
