    Question regarding tires

If I replace the tire on a mountainbike marked 26x2.00 with a tire marked 26x1.95 is that going to be an issue? Is it necessary to use a different inner tube other than the one from the 26x2.00 tire?

    Thanks,
    SF

Inner tubes are usually good for a range of tire sizes, so you should be fine without replacing the tube as long as you can mount the tire without having wrinkles in the tube.

Mounting a 1.95" tire in place of a 2.00" tire should present no other issues either. Any differences are going to be more likely related to the specific tire/tread pattern more than the size. Perhaps a little more or less traction etc. But no big issue concerning the size.

Seriously, it's 0.05 inches difference in width... less than 2mm... less than the thickness of a dime.

You might be able to tell the difference if you put a micrometer on it but otherwise you'd never know.
