My bike has no eyelets.. what can i do?
I have a road bike with no fork eyelets or dropout eyelets. Is there a something out there that can be slipped over the axel once the wheel is in place to simulate this? This is for my fixed/ss so I dont have quickrelease on either or my axels.
Also, I know that there are sleeve options that you wrap around the seatstays or the forkends but thats not really what i'm looking for.
Thanks

I'm assuming you want to mount fenders. You can use P-clips to simulate eyelets.

You can get them at any hardware store. Look in the electrics aisle as they're usually used for routing conduit.
Fork:
Rear dropouts:
I also used zipties to snug the fenders up against the brake bridge:
And behind the bottom bracket:
Here's a picture of the whole bike:

Thanks! It's an '89 Trek 660. I got the frame on eBay and built it up as a fixed gear just for the heck of it.

hey..another quick question. I have a set of ultegra 6600 calipers. Do you think i'll manage to squeeze a set of planet freddy fenders (that require mounting) underneath the calipers?

I don't know. Probably. But it may limit you to 25 or 23 mm tires.

Caloso, really a nice job on the bike! I think you may have done what I needed to do to mount fenders on my Trek (only you did a lot neater job), and to answer bluenote's quesion. I drilled out the rivets holding the mounting clip to the fender and then after discarding the clip, used zip ties to pull the fender closer to the brake bridge. That was the only way I could get enough clearance. I run 23mm's so don't have any info on the tire clearance.

I'd also consider welding a small washer to an axle washer so it looks like an "8". Would this work ?
Should I start manufacturing tomorrow?
