click/squeak coming from spoke

Hi guys,

I have a click/squeak that comes from this one spoke on my rear wheel, non-drive side. If I put a drop of lube on the nipple it goes away for a ride or two, but then comes right back.

Any thoughts as to what it might be?

Is the spoke loose, or under less tension than other non-drive spokes? It could be going slack and every revolution. Does it happen when coasting, pedaling, both? Push or pull spoke?

it happens with weight on it. I can even lay over the seat with my gut, and the clicking will happen. The nipples are on the rim.

The spoke is not any looser than the rest of the spokes on that same side.

Several options, possibly combined: Apply grease. I think the origin is the contact point of the nipple with the rim, not the thread itself. Also apply a little grease where such spoke interlaces with other spokes.
Also, if possible, tighten all spokes (drive side and non drive side a quarter to half, or even more, depending how tight/loose they are in the first place. Do it in such way that you tighten all the drive side spokes to the same amount first and see/feel how much they can be tightened, then tighten the non drive side ones correspondingly).
