Help with Shifter Cable Installation, New Campy Centaur

Tonight I installed a set of the Campy Centaur shifters with the new ergonomics. I had a very hard time getting the cable up from the bottom of the shifter and into the small beige cable guide without bending it. I finally got them done, but my right shifter cable was bent, and shifts a little sluggishly.

If someone can explain to me how to get these in without bending them up, I would really appreciate it. Also, are replacements available for just the Campy cables, or do I have to buy another set of housings?

Thanks, Mike.

For anybody else who might later search for the answer to this question, see link below. I emailed Lennard Zinn, and he answered it in his online column.

It is the second question in the column.
