Shifter/Derailleur Help

Hello. Trying to change out shifters as well as front and rear derailleurs on a mountain bike but may have screwed up in selection of the shifters and/or front derailleur.

FD: Shimano fd-m411
RD: Shimano rd-m410
SH: Shimano Alivio mc-40 rapid fire
CS: Shimano fc-tx70

Shifter seems to have a wider stroke range than the crankset since I can only get a shift from small to middle chainring. Shift to large chain ring hits a wall (actually inner part of front derailleur hits the chainring). Any ideas as to the fix? Different shifters? Different FD? Different crankset? Does the mix look totally wrong?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Is you front derailleur positioned high enough? Do you need to adjust the high limit screw?

As many good bike-mechanics will attest to, problems with a front-derailleur(FD) and hard if not impossible to address after they have been installed. And then went out of whack. What is the quickest and most likely to work is to uninstall the FD and install again from scratch.I'll leave you with two sets of directions to follow:

https://www.parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=75

https://bicycletutor.com/adjust-front-derailer/

Really! This is the fastest and most practical way to fix these buggers. If you try with it still installed, every adjustment to X will cause Y to go out. Fix Y and Z goes out. It becomes a comedy - watching the person pull clumps of hair out of they're heads. So follow the instructions exactly and in order. You'll have it fixed within an hour. If you're very lazy.

Started from scratch. Looks like that may do it. Thanks!
