headset bearings

Doing my headset grease job and cleaning. I have caged bearings does the bottom bearing face up or down and the top does it go facing up or down. My ZINN maintenance book has real crappy drawings . Its a threaded headset and a specialized. Thanks for your help its apreciated. Sky

The general rule is the cage part faces inside. Can see it better in the pic below:

So the flat side of the cage faces up ? How about the bottom. Thanks

I dont know if im getting it but that way didnt work. I put the flat metal part of the cage down, balls up, Spins smooth now. THanks
