future upgrade options

Eventually may want to upgrade Schwinn Super Sport DBX (or not). Only upgrade I really care about is chainring from 50/36 to 53/x.
What are my options with the fewest mods (changing shifters etc.)?
Current Specs:
BB/Crank: Truvative Elita GXP 50/36
FD: Shimano Tiagra FD-4403
RD: Shimano 105 RD-5501 GS long cage
Shifters/Brake Levers: Tiagra STI, also has the extra brake levers on the top.
Cassette: SRAM 9sp 12-26

Any Truvativ crank (SRAM Force, Rival, etc) that uses the GXP bottom bracket should pop right in there. You can also use any Shimano Hollowtech II crank if you pop the shim out of the left-side BB bearing.

glad to hear it. I shouldn't need new FD or shifters then. Couple FD and possible chain length adjustments.

A 50/36 crankset with a 12-26 cassette seems like a perfect setup, don't understand why you'd want to change it unless you're racing downhill.

honestly idk, its flat here and I look at it as one way of improving my skills. If I get too comfortable with 50-36 then I know it can be bumped a notch.
