campagnolo chainring /cassette

I use a mirage 12/23 cassette, and need a little help on hills. Can I change my 39 front ring to a 36 or should I look for a 12/26 cassette? thanks

You can't reduce the little ring size on a Campy 53/39 crank. You'd need to change to a compact.

Campy makes a 12-25 or 13-26. You didn't mention 9 or 10 speed.

There's also a 13-29 cassette in 10-speed, but you will probably need a medium cage derailleur for it.

I bought a single cog, 26 tooth, for mine. Left out the 16 tooth on the cluster. Works great, no chain length or derailleur change was necessary.

Old fogy, I would like to do the same. My mirage is 8 speed,I could omit the 14 and add the 26. The problem is ,where can I buy a 26 I have tried everywhere, thank you

I believe Campy made a 13-26 cassette in 8-speed.
