replacement rims

I am rebuilding wheels for a friend. The existing rims are dangerously worn. They are Alex ALX-290, 700c, alloy double wall, machined sidewalls (black). The hubs are Alex ALX-290, 20 & 24 hole, sealed bearing, and black. I would prefer black rims, but it’s not imperative.
I am in the UK and can import from Europe. The US may be too expensive.
The front wheel is radially spoked; I may change this to 1X or 2X

I have only found the DT RR 1.2 in 20 & 24 holes so far.
The wheels are for fast day trips and high speed commuting. Strength is more important than weight. The rider weighs about 95 kg.

Who makes this type of rim? Who sells them?

I really like my DT RR 1.1 rims, they are light and strong enough for these rough Oklahoma roads. But my wheels are 28 and 32 spoke 3X, and to me 20 and 24 spoke wheels do not equate to "strong".

I can get DT RR1.1 in 20 & 24. They look tough enough. You are right about "strong"; they came with the bike. I would have had them changed by the LBS. The Mavic web site does NOT list the numbers of holes. It just states "Traditional drilling". There is no dealer, email, or contact details. The Alex site is almost as bad; no tab browsing.

The roads here in south London are not too bad. The rims need to be pedestrian proof.

I wish I'd never volunteered my services.
