IGH problem. SchramSpectto S7 not shifting.

The hub worked fine, until I started messing with it. I wnted to find the right gearing for a bike and swapped out the rear cog several times in this process. Somewhere along the line the hub stopped shifting.

I pulled out the manual too late, I suspect I pulled out the rods innside (after remowing the clickboks) without first putting the shifter in 1st gear as I should have done.

This is the only thing I can think of that could have gone wrong. I can see the indicator twisting in the clickboks as I wist the shifter. Looks and feels ok but not shifting.

Should I try o put the rod in when in 7th gear and twist down to 1st?

Any ideas or knowledge about this?

Also make sure that the red plastic piece that fits on the end of the shifter shaft is not damaged and is installed correctly. It can cause shifting failure if damaged or improperly installed.
