    Problem installing Ergopower cable!

I'm setting up my 2009 campy centuar shifter and the instructions aren't making sense compared to the parts in front of me. The instructions say to attach the end of the derailleur cable with the pre-fitted housing end cap into the slot in the shifter. Well the slot in my shifter has a yellow plastic insert in it that seems like more of a cable guide, but definitely not thick enough to hold the cable housing. And even if I remove that insert, the cable will now fit but definitely not the metal housing end cap. It looks to me like the cables are supposed to run over/through the plastic insert and into the cables which are supposed to be attached UNDER the shifter.
Does this make sense? I'm totally confused.

Now I'm looking at their website and the specs say "no buldge housing path" which makes sense compared to what I'm looking at, but the instructions on their website are the exact same as the ones i have that seem to run the housing out the top.

Well, I decided that their instructions are bogus.

I ran the cable in through the front of the shifter (under the lever) out of the top of the hood and over the plastic insert and back down into the hood and into the cable housing.
It just didn't make sense any other way, and it seems to be working great.

The yellow cable guides are ceramic.

Campy's instructions were not properly revised for 2009. I've posted this several times, including just yesterday, when I mentioned that no ferrule is used at the ergo body.

There are two possible routing for the shift cable. Around the back of the bars or around the front. There are separate holes in the ergo body for each routing. There are also small metal discs at the bottom of these holes to prevent the cable housing from wearing the ergo body. Don't lose those - they can be poked out when pushing the shift cable through the hole.
