Quick Question: Jamis Shifters
i bought a Jamis citizen 1.0, 2007
https://bikepedia.com/QuickBike/BikeS...6482&Type=bike
the owner had removed the shifters.
he also replaced the flat bars with drops.
What kind of shifters can i use on this?
I am a bike noob and appreciate your help.
I own 2 road bikes that I primarily ride, as well as a folding bike.
I do not need top of the line components. I dont want sh1t either.
thanks
ps- is it difficult to install myself?

Sora shifters will work with the 7 cogs at the back. You can get Sora 7 sp shifters on-line, but 8 sp shifters work with the alternate cable routing shown near the bottom oof this page https://www.sheldonbrown.com/derailer-adjustment.html I have used Sora, it is well made and shifts well when adjusted right. 2200 is the cheaper variant of the Sora and the parts may wear faster but I have no personal experience.
