Hi,

I just picked up a used road bike (Fuji Ace). Attached is a picture of one of the pedals. Can someone identify this pedal for me?

thanks for any help,

Ben

Those must be the lightest pedals ever! So light they're invisible!

(You forgot to attach the picture. )

Just a generic platform pedal. You could get toe clips and straps for them to increase pedaling efficiency.

you should get toe clips and straps for them because otherwise they will be much harder to ride.

Those pedals look 'sided,' meaning they have a side that is flat for riding, and a side that is cut away for cornering clearance, like the so called 'track' pedals. When riding without toe clips, it's almost impossible to pick which side of the pedal you're feet will be on, causing you to ride on the uncomfortable backside about half the time.

Those pedals look very similar to the MKS GR-9 pedals available (picture linked below is from the UK - they are widely available in the USA and other nation).

I run them on my custom hybrid I built. I added toe-clips/straps. I like to ride in sneakers and other beat-up type shoes. These are ideal. Extremely comfortable and easy-on, easy-off.

With the MKS GR-9, just be sure to (it's quite simple) overhaul them with good grease and adjust them. I can afford much more expensive pedals - but I would feel like an idiot to do such and replace these! They look like a winner - take care of them.

Never mind the pedals.
What type of kickstand is that?

It looks like a classic American one still found on bicycles rotting on lawns, and in sheds/garages, coast to coast here. Their old claim-to-fame was constantly getting loose and banging together with the crank-arms.
