campagnolo cassette - unusual lockring

Hi everyone, I want to remove my 10 speed campagnolo cassette (12T-25T) but it doesnt have the standard lockring. Below is a link with a photo:

Does anyone know what tool will remove this lock ring? I've searched online and been to a few bike shops and still no luck.

Thanks for taking the time to read/help.

Much appreciated!

The link doesn't go to the right photo.

Campy cassetes have a normal lockring but they require a specific tool. It isn't the same as a Shimano/SRAM lockring. Correct your link and let's see what you are facing.

Your link doesn't work but you most likely need this, park BBT-5

thanks - link should be working now

I've got both the standard shimano and campy lockring remover but if you look at the link now you'll see this lockring is quite bizzarre! looks like it needs a wrench with 4 pins...

cheers

Yeah, that's different alright. What make is the hub? Campy hubs come with the lockring, they don't include it with most of their cassettes like Shimano and SRAM do. So, if this is a non-Campy hub with a Campy-compatible freehub body, the hub maker may have provided the lockring too.

You will probably have to find out what tool the hub requires from the hub manufacturer,

Their web site doesn't have a separate "Tool" catagory so I expect you will have to e-mail or call them directly for a recommendation. These things are unique as far as I can tell.

I was going to suggest the hammer-and-punch removal method but that will probably damage the lockring and I'm not sure a real Campy lockring will fit or match the hub threads. You better get (or make) the correct tool.

Aha, now I found it too. They have a "buy on-line" link so I expect you could deal with them directly.

you could use the parktool's ITEM # SPA-6
Adjustable Spanner to do the job too.
