front (V) brake problem

I have a Giant Boulder SE, which has the V style brakes. Quick rundown, last week I took the front wheel off to transport the bike in a van. reassembled and went riding, yada yada yada. Well this morning I was loading the bike in my truck when I noticed the front brake is rubbing on the rim on one side (the quick release side, if it matters). This was the first time I noticed it, so I do not know how long its been doing it and didnt have a chance to tinker with it yet. Im planning to go out at lunch time and look it over, Im thinking maybe the wheel is off center cause I tightened the quick release "skewer" too much one side or maybe I didnt reconnect the brakes right. Just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions. thanx

Release the QR on the front-wheel. Now slide it fully up and in while pushing side-to-side. Your brake-pads should come back to center. This happens when you don't, quite fully engage a wheel ito the dropout.

Other possible cause is the v-brake(s) need aligning. Here:

^^^thanx! that mighta happened when i got it back home. i was purdy tired & was ready to crash, so I mighta done a quick, half assed job.

actually all that was wrong was one of the spring arms on the back of the brake arm popped off.......................
