Rear dropout limiter screws - Needed?

Rear dropout limiter screws - Needed?
I picked up an old Bianchi Giro that was missing various original parts, including the limiter screws for the rear dropout. How important are these? Should I replace them and if so, where can I find a pair?

They were intended to make fast wheel changes, as during a race, more precise in the days of horizontal dropouts. Once the screws were adjusted properly, just slamming the new wheel back against them guaranteed it was in the right place and properly aligned.
They aren't essential but can be a convenience. I believe their threading is M3x.5 mm

BikeToolsEtc also has 'em - but I can't find 'em at the moment. They were found on frames made for possible racing. Hence - they were found on upper-tier bikes and frames. Such as your Bianchi.
Certainly replace them. An old Bianchi deserves no less. And congratulations on your acquisition!
