Seatpost torque
I have a 2008 Surly LHT with the Surly Constrictor seatpost clamp (30mm). The seatpost is aluminum. Does anyone happen to know the torque spec for the seatpost clamp? After adjusting the seat height I have been experiencing some slippage (and want to be careful about over tightening). Thanks!

I'd guess 35-60 INCH-pounds, but ... it may be better to come up with some carbon fiber assembly paste and use IT on the seatpost.
Usually stops the slipping. I've also used Aqua-Net hairspray ... on my seatpost AND on my lovely-and-oh-so-fashionable 'do :D |
35 - 60 is generic and generally correct. Check the Park Tool repair site and look for torque-settings:
