shimano front derailleur outside limit screw question

Hello all. A question hopefully someone can help me with. My chain is rubbing my front cage. I am trying to set my outside limit screw ( inside was done successfully i think) but am not having good luck. I need to turn the limit screw clockwise in order to move the cage to the outside of the large chainring but the problem is that the screw is already bottomed out as far as it will go clockwise. Any advice? I hope I have explained things well enough. Ty in advance.

Ummm... no? If I have this right, you are trying to increase the available room at the high limit, so you should be slacking the screw off? Anticlockwise? I'm sure others will chime in, but I think you're going the wrong way.
