tire measurement conversion
i just got a 22 year old fuji that has tires that measure 27x1-1/8
what new tire would i replace it with in terms of measurements?

27 x 1 1/8 (630mm bead seat diameter with a 28mm wide tire) was a common tire size on road bikes during that time period. You will find that 27 x 1 1/4 (630-32) tires are much more common in the 27" size these days. Assuming the frame and fork have the clearance, 27 x 1 1/4 should work fine.
