Crazy derailer idea
I have an old bike frame that came with a Shimano Tourney derailer that bolts onto the axle:

I want to replace that derailer, and I'm wondering to myself: Would the old-style Saint derailer that also bolts to the axle, work? Here's a link:

I know the Saint is supposed to work only with Saint hubs, but perhaps I could overcome that limitation with my powers of cobble.
Any thoughts? I've never seen the Saint derailer in person. I guess for the price, I could just order one for the fun of it.

I don't think the saint will work since it requires a saint hub, but the bolt on Hone derailleur (also $10).
A shimano rep actually told me if you have a frame with a broken off derailleur hanger, a bolt on hone derailleur will work in a pinch
