Using an older 9 speed Triple Crankset with a 10 speed chain & drivetrain.
I'm considering a Shimano Ultegra FC-6503 9-Speed Triple Crankset to be used with my 10 speed chain & drivetrain. I like the 52/42/30T gearing and the very positive reviews on this crank, but must stay with my 10 speed drivetrain.
Will the 10 speed chain be prone to low quality shifts and dropping of the chain?

I've never tried that exact combination but I think it will work just fine. There is very little difference between 9 and 10 speed chain rings.
