If you were to build up a freeride hardtail up from scratch, what frame and what components would you use?

Dear Wrench,

I have an old hitachi scanning electron microscope. The ion exchange pump seems to be having issues maintaining proper vacuum in the accelerating chamber. The airlock seems to be fine as well as the low vacuum specimen chamber. Whenever I open the high vacuum accelerating chamber, the system warms up fine and the ready light turns on. When I power up the filament using anything over 10 KV, the system emits a loud beep and the pop off on the ion pump goes off and the vacuum warning light turns on.
Will this cause the filament to overheat, ionize, and damage it? Also, I have an EDAX Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy unit installed, will a sudden change in pressure great enough to trigger the pressure warning indicator rupture the window inside and contaminate the detector? Thanks!

Yours truly, lab rat.

My big toe goes numb after I ride 75 miles. Not my left big toe but my right big toe. Also, the toe next to my big toe (not my left big toe but my right big toe) starts to hurt after 74.36985 miles. Does this mean that it's time to change my jersey?
