New KMC chain, measured wrong

I thought I measured the chain length correctly and after removing the excess links, come to find out its too short. Its a KMC x10 chain and I was thinking of reconnecting the extra links needed and lock them up with another missing link connector. Would the chain be okay with two sets of missing link connectors or am I better off just buying another chain.

Unconventional, but I don't see why the two quick-connects wouldn't work....

They are supposed to be "as good" as a normal link, so yes, should work just fine.

Common practice on tandem timing chains and recumbents is to use multiple connecting links.

I know a guy that daisy-chained three of these - he'd been riding it like that for a year. No problems. I'd like to see an entire chain made up of quick-links or similar. Be interesting to see how that would hold-up...
