questions on swapping to softer coil on fork
I have the '09 Specialized Rockhopper, which came with the Rock Shox Dart 3 fork and because my weight comes in just under 130lbs it looks like I should switch to the softer coil to maximize the fork's potential. Are there any instructions out there on how to do this? Do I simply remove the cap and swap springs?
I purchased this bike new in June and would say out of the 300 miles I've put in that I have barely done anything shock intensive besides the occasional hop off of 2-3" curbs. Do I need to run new oil for the new coil?

I'd take it back to the shop you bought it from and ask why they didn't recommend the softer spring. Then see if you can work out some kind of deal.
